M&J Membership

Club Membership and Subscription

If a child wants to give rugby a try, we offer 4 weeks training for free.  On completion of the 4 weeks, if the child would like to continue, they will need to be registered on the RFUs GMS register, which is free of charge.  Membership costs for the club are detailed below.  The club is not for profit, and your membership payments go a long way to sustain and support the club.

For the 2022/23 season Family Membership is: £125

Payments will be requested through the Spond App so there is no need to do anything until prompted to do so.  Alternatively you can pay directly into the club account, please contact us directly for this option.

If you join part way through the season, we will offer reduced membership for those joining from January 2023 onwards which will include all the standard benefits.

For the 2022/23 season Half Family Membership is: £70

Membership includes all training and matches for the season (September 2022 to April 2023).  This also includes all insurance provided by the RFU as an affiliated club.

This membership option is aimed at families to encourage full family participation in Rugby Union at the club, therefore any additional siblings who wish to play for the club will be free of charge and this cost will also grant social member status for two parents so they can take advantage of membership benefits.

Becoming a member of the club offers benefits such as access to international rugby match tickets, being welcome to attend all social events including end of season events, voting rights at the AGM and several other perks.

Welcome Pack

On joining the club and paying the family membership, your child will be provided with a club welcome pack which is made to order.  This welcome pack includes a club match day playing shirt, a training shirt, water bottle and drawstring bag.  Welcome packs are for new members only.  We do offer a kit swap facility where items in good condition can be swapped and traded.  More information is available on request.

Registration

The RFU’s Game Management System (GMS) is the primary platform to support the grassroots game in England. A multi-functional system, GMS has a variety of modules that allow game administrators to manage their operations for their club/constituent body.

Details of how to do this is below:

For us to meet our safeguarding obligations to the RFU, our Mini and Junior members need registering within GMS and allocating to their respective teams / age groups, this will need carrying out on an annual basis (as per RFU Reg 15.1.5).

Due to data protection, the club cannot register mini and junior players so parents and guardians are responsible for registering them-selves and their children and affiliation to the club.  This is simple to do, below is a link to a guide which will give you all the information you need.  If you have any issues or questions regarding this, please contact the Mini and Junior Registrar for help details of which can be found below:
